National Safety Awareness Week

 

National Safety Awareness Week is to promote skiing responsibly and knowing the code to slope safety.

  • Poster Contest Awards, Balcony House at 3:15pm on Friday, Janurary 15.
  • Pick up Drawing Registration Cards @ Depot with Host on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Look for Employees with 'Ask About The Code' Armbands for Contest Information.
  • Avalanche Awareness & resport Boundaries presentation for Winter Park Employees, hosted by Winter Park Ski Patrol, in the Upper Balcony House @ 5pm on Wednesday, January 20.
  • Win a 2010-11 Winter Park Season Pass & other great prizes!

 

Know The Code!

  1. Stay in control.
  2. People ahead have the right of way.
  3. Stop in a safe place for you and others.
  4. When starting downhill or merging, look uphill and yield.
  5. Use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
  6. Observe signs and warnings, and keep off closed trails.
  7. Know how to use the lifts safely.
