Topping off Winter Park's FreeRide Fridays, the Village at Winter Park is hosting a Friday evening live music series from 4:30pm to 7:30pm in the Discovery Center Plaza.
September 4: Tempa & The Tantrums (Denver, CO)
Voted "Best Blues Band of the Year" in the Westword Music Awards; "Best Colorado Underground Band" by the Denver Post; "Best Blues Band" in the Colorado Springs Music Awards. Tempa describes the sound as eclectic-blues-Americana, which incorporates blues, jazz, zydeco, R&B, funk and soul into the mix. Tempa's searing, soulful voice brings energy and excitement to the Colorado music community. She is most commonly compared to Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Rait, Koko Taylor, and Dianna Krall.
