Red Bull 1976 Games

The year 1976 will finally have it's day. OK, two days.

Participants will compete for fame, glory and honor in Snowbladecross, Gaper Park Challenge, and Old School Team Challenge.

Schedule of Events:
Friday, March 7

• noon-3pm: Registration in the Upper Balcony House at the base of Winter Park Resort
• 3:00-3:30pm: Snowbladecross course inspection on Lower Village Way. Bladers will compete for the best time on a custom-designed Red Bull course. Each racer will be given one run, with the top 20 battling it out in a second run for glory. Snowblades ONLY of course! And they must be UNDER 120cm in length.
• 3:45pm: Snowbladecross race on Lower Village Way
• 4:30-10pm: Opening ceremonies at the Derailer Bar, featuring sounds from DJ Golden B

Saturday, March 8

• 10am: Gaper Park Challenge on Lower Hughes. Teams will ski four across down an invisible bump line leading to two sets of kickers. Old School Tricks Only! None of the corked-out junk; we want daffies, spreads, twisters and backscratchers! Top 10 teams will get a second run. Judges will be looking at costumes, style, air, showmanship and team unity! No equipment requirements, but extra points for old school straight skis. 
• 1pm: Old School Team Challenge on Lower Hughes. The actual events are a secret, but you will need a lot of teamwork to win this one! Hence the name!
• 4:00-10pm: Closing Ceremonies and awards at the Derailer Bar, featuring the live funky Motown vibes of 8trac M.E.

Food and Drink Specials, give-a-ways and more!

Prizes:
Awards for the top three teams with the best combined score.

• 1st place: $1976 and four Rocky Mountain Super Passes for 2008-2009 ski season
• 2nd place: $976 and eight Four Passes for 2008-2009 ski season
• 3rd place: $76 and four Four Passes valid for 2008-2009 ski season

Must provide own equipment, including snowblades (some rentals available on a first come, first serve basis).

Prizes will be awarded for best costumes and team mojo. Get your one-piece on! 

Every participant will also receive a 1976 Gaper Hat and white turtleneck.
