Everyone at Vans is excited to announce the Vans Mini Cup, a new series of three rail jam contests going down this winter, with the top rider from each stop qualifying for the 2009 Vans Cup at Mammoth, which is regarded as the most important professional snowboarding competition on the West Coast.

The first Mini Cup stop, presented by Satellite Boardshop, will be at Winter Park Resort in Colorado December 14, followed by rail jams at New Hampshire's Loon Mountain January 10 and California's Bear Mountain February 14.  The format will be an open jam session narrowed down to a 10-man final judged by Vans Snow team riders.  The winner from each stop scores an all expense paid trip to the Vans Cup at Mammoth and an invite into the Friday night rail jam. 

The 5th Annual Vans Cup will be held at Mammoth Mountain February 27 through March 1, with nearly $200,000 up for grabs.  The weekend kicks off with an invitational rail jam Friday night, where top shredders throw down their best tricks for a chance at the coveted Vans Cup and a serious cash prize.  The action continues Saturday with a Slopestyle comp and caps off Sunday with the Superpipe finals.
