Dummy Downhill Race

The only competition of its kind in the state, this totally funny event features "dummies" of every shape and size careening down lower Village Way and launching themselves off of a huge jump attempting to capture top honors. Prizes will be awarded for Best Crash, Most Creative, and Longest Distance.

Schedule and Details:

• Registration: 8:30-10:45am in the Main Level of the Balcony House
• Pre-registered teams must pick up Dummy Bib # on the day of registration
• Weigh in starts at 10am on Lower Village Way
• 10:45pm dummy inspections and judging on most creative dummy 
• Dummy Downhill starts at 12:00pm on Lower Village Way
• $10 Entry Fee

Race Rules:

• Limited to the first 20 team entries
• Maximum of 4 people per team
• Dummy with equipment and craft cannot weigh more than 75 lbs.
• No living entities allowed on dummy craft
• Dummy must be mounted on skis or a snowboard
  a. A leash must be secured from the dummy to the snowboard to prevent  runaway equipment
  b. Skis must contain breaking devices
• No human contact with the dummy during the race
• Team members are responsible for retrieving dummy parts after their race
• Dimensions of Dummy and craft: no taller than 6 feet, lower than 3 feet, or wider than 3 feet at the base (can't be longer than skis or snowboard the dummy is mounted on)
• No steel beams, glass or heavy metal objects
• No motorization or explosives allowed
• No gravel/dirt may be used to weigh down your dummy
• No fire

For SAFETY, dummies will be disqualified if found, by IWPOC in its sole discretion, to be unsafe.

Prizes:

• Best Crash: $300 cash and 4 lift tickets for the 09-10 Ski Season
• Most Creative: $300 cash and 4 lift tickets for the 09-10 Ski Season, or 4 Winter Park Resort season passes for the 09-10 Ski Season. The runner up will receive $100 and 2 lift tickets for the 09-10 Ski Season.
• Longest Distance: $300 cash and 4 lift tickets for the 09-10 Ski Season, or 4 season passes for the 09-10 Ski Season
