2007 Biking Information
Lift Carriers:
Be sure to check out the new bike carriers installed on the Zephyr Express which is the first of its kind in the United States. Fashioned after Whistler, it will make the transport of bikes on the lift easier for both our guests and employees and shows the commitment of Winter Park to becoming a leader in the Mountain Bike Resort experience.

Uphill Riding:
Please note that there are changes in the uphill riding policies at Winter Park this summer. Certain trails have been designated downhill riding only, as well as no hiking, during operational hours. These include The Downhill, Lower Long Trail below 5 Points and Cheyenne. Before 10am and after 6pm bikers may elect to ride up Winter Park trails but must always be aware that there may be downhill riders. A sign that states this policy is located at the Snoasis gate where Tunnel Hill connects to the resort. An alternate uphill route for those riders coming into the resort at Little Vasquez is up the summer road from the bottom of Mountain Goat and Little Vasquez to Arapaho and up Arapaho to 5 points. Then up the upper Long trail, to the top.

Mountain Biking Safety Info:
Mountain biking is different than road or street riding and is confined to marked unimproved or partially improved trails where rocks, dirt, loose gravel and stumps may be encountered at any time. Changing weather conditions, variations in terrain, including steepness, natural and man-made obstacles and features, and other dangers or conditions that may be encountered such as vehicles on the mountain, are inherent risks that are part of the challenge of mountain biking. You must ride in control and within your own ability. You are using these premises at your own risk, and assume all risks in this activity. Helmets must be worn at Winter Park Resort. Wear other appropriate protective gear. Read and obey all signs. Riding on mountain roads is prohibited unless otherwise posted. Equipment allowed on mountain bike trails is limited to mountain bikes, adaptive equipment and unicycles unless approved by senior management.
