06/07 Improvements - Eagle Wind Lift & Terrain
As the saying goes, "there's always room for improvement." And what started with a little work done to the front side of Mary Jane last season moves on to a little work done to the "backside" this season - the backside of Parsenn Bowl that is! Investing $4.8 million in on-mountain capital improvements, Winter Park Resort enhances its guest experience through the introduction of:
New Triple Chairlift – Winter Park Resort's most exciting capital improvement includes a new triple chairlift named Eagle Wind, providing access the backside of Parsenn Bowl. Eagle Wind starts at an elevation of 10,316 feet along the Vasquez Cirque egress and extends up to the backside of Parsenn Bowl to 11,486 feet.
New Trails – For the 2006/07 season, seven new trails have been cut into the backside of Parsenn Bowl featuring names of historic Northern Arapaho chiefs and areas. Terrain ranges from advanced to expert and bring Winter Park Resort's total trail count to 143.
New Lunch Space for Kid's Ski & Ride School – Kids taking part in Winter Park's Ski and Ride School Kids Program will love the new elbow room they have thanks to a Snoasis remodel done over the summer dedicated just to them.
New Advanced Sales Fulfillment Center – Parents have another reason to smile with the Winter Park Ski and Ride School Advanced Sales Fulfillment Center located on the ground level of West Portal Station (formerly known as the Boxcar Deli). Here, parents can fulfill any prearranged lift ticket and lesson seven days a week without standing outside to fill out paperwork or having to climb stairs with armloads of kids and gear!
