All mountain activities operate from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. daily, with the exception of the Zephyr Express chairlift which closes at 5 p.m. daily.


Location

Winter Park Resort is located 67 miles (108 kilometers) northwest of Denver, 85 miles (137 kilometers) from Denver International Airport and 40 miles (64 kilometers) from Rocky Mountain National Park.  Driving time from Denver is approximately 90 minutes.

Winter Park Resort receives an average of 300 days of sunshine a year with little to no humidity.  Weather can change in a matter of minutes, so it's a good idea to be prepared when heading into the backcountry.

Mountain Bike Madness

Winter Park Resort is home to 30 miles of chairlift accessible mountain bike terrain that connects with another 600 miles throughout the Fraser Valley.  Both the Zephyr Express and the Olympia Express chairlifts operate with their own bike transportation system, making Winter Park the only Colorado resort with two lifts dedicated to mountain bikers. 

Trestle Bike Park Shop, located in the Zephyr Mountain Lodge promenade, carries the latest adult and kids mountain bike rental equipment from Kona.  Mountain bike rental package choices include: $69.99 for half day use of an adult downhill bike and body armor and $39.99 for half day use of an adult back country mountain bike and helmet. Trestle Bike Park Pass - $34/Full Day $24/Half Day and $199/Season Pass

Access Winter Park Resort’s freeride terrain with one of the three Trestle Bike Park Passes.  From unlimited rides up the Zephyr Express and Olympia Express for a half day to a full season, the Trestle Bike Park Pass is your ticket to ride.  Save even more on a day pass when you purchase a Trestle Bike Park Pass in conjunction with a bike rental at Trestle Bike Shop.

Resort Activities

In addition to on-mountain activities, Winter Park Resort also offers these family-friendly activities perfect for the young and the young-at-heart.

Alpine Slide:  Colorado's longest and most exciting two-track Alpine Slide is located under the Arrow chairlift with viewing from the base area.   Both tracks are 3,030 feet long with 26 linked turns.  New this season, guests will ride in style on new, state of the art, alpine sleds.  Cost is $15, children 5 and under are free.

Zephyr Express Scenic Chairlift:  Ride to our 10,700 summit for access to mountain biking, hiking, disc golf or a relaxing lunch at The Lodge at Sunspot.  Single rides can be purchased for $15/person, children 5 and under are free.  Or purchase an all-day Trestle Bike Park Pass for $34 or a Trestle Bike Park Season Pass for $199, and unlimited Zephyr Express Scenic Chairlift Rides are included.

Mountainside Mini Golf:  Tour the historic sites of the Fraser Valley, all while playing mini golf at the base of Winter Park Mountain.  Each hole depicts a scene from the surrounding area.  Cost is $10/person, children 5 and under are free.

Amaze'n Human Maze:  Test your speed and detective skills in a human maze that twists, turns, and confuses at every turn.  The maze, located at the base of Winter Park, is changed frequently.  Cost is $10/person, children 5 and under are free.

Leaps & Bounds Bungee:  Ever wondered how those gymnasts do it?  Find out on our trampoline/bungee gym.  You'll be harnessed with two bungees that will send you sailing high into the air at the base of Winter Park.  Cost is $10/person, children 5 and under are free.

GyroEXTREME:  Test your ability to be an astronaut or test pilot in the three-dimensional gyro ride.  We suggest eating lunch after the ride.  Cost is $10/person, children 5 and under are free.

Outdoor Climbing Wall:  The 24-foot outdoor climbing wall offers three routes of varying difficulty to get you ready for Mt. Everest.  Cost for the climbing wall is $10/person, children 5 and under are free.

Geocaching:  Winter Park Resort has become a haven for geocaching.  Known as a high-tech treasure hunt, folks of all ages are invited to hunt for three dozen hidden caches on and around the mountain, using hand-held GPS receivers.  Search for our kid caches and find all sorts of treasures!  GPS units are available for rental at nominal fee.  Join us for a free Geocaching 101 class at the gazebo in the Village at Winter Park every Saturday morning at 10 a.m.  For more information, visit www.geocaching.com.

Winter Park Resort Dining

Derailer Bar is Winter Park Resort's most coveted deck-space, offering great grilled fare and daily specials in addition to the best views of the resort.  The Derailer Bar is a casual outdoor grill open daily, starting at 11 a.m., with full bar service available on weekends.

Doc's Roadhouse is located on the Zephyr Mountain Lodge promenade and serves up the best family fare in the county.  This full-service, sit-down restaurant is Winter Park Resort's hottest family spot, featuring burgers, sandwiches and salads as well as an extensive kid-friendly menu, featuring chicken fries and applesauce.
NEW!  Doc's will be serving up a great pancake breakfast, available daily starting at 8 a.m.  
 
The Lodge at Sunspot is Winter Park Resort's on-mountain dining option for lunch, and now dinner.  Daily lunch service featuring sandwiches, snacks and drinks begins June 27.  Located at 10,700 feet above sea level, guests ride the Zephyr Express chairlift to the top of Winter Park Mountain, where The Lodge at Sunspot and its 360 degree views await.  The Lodge at Sunspot is open from 11 a.m.

NEW!  Friday BBQ dinners at Sunspot:  This one-of-a-kind dining experience is now available for dinner Friday nights July 3 – Sept. 4 from 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.  Full BBQ dinners featuring live music are $24.95/adults and $19.95/children (10 and under) and include choice of entrée with specialties like pork spare ribs, beef rib eye steak and beef brisket, all served with corn on the cob, Texas toast, ice cream for dessert, and your choice of potato salad, coleslaw orbaked beans.  Choice of ice tea and lemonade is also included. 

Starbucks is located on the Zephyr Mountain Lodge promenade at the base of Winter Park Resort and is the perfect stop for frosty, cold beverages and caffeinated concoctions.  Starbucks opens daily at 8 a.m.

NEW! Lime, an American cantina, is your source for great tacos and mighty margaritas.  This summer, their "Three @ 3" happy hour promotion returns with $3 house margaritas, $3 draft beer, and appetizers starting at $3 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. daily.  Lime is also livening things up with late night dancing and entertainment every Friday and Saturday night.  Hours are from 8 a.m. – 11 p.m. Sunday – Thursday, and 8 a.m. – close on Friday and Saturday.  Lime also offers a breakfast burrito buffet with grab-and-go options available in the morning for guests ready to play.  Lime is located near the gazebo and pond and is a great place to catch all the action.   

NEW! Cheeky Monk, a Belgian beer café offers a taste of Belgium right in The Village at Winter Park.  The owner is always on the lookout for the rarest and best beers, and currently offers an impressive drink menu, featuring 14 Belgian imported beers on draught and 20 Belgian imported bottles.  Beers are hand-selected to pair with the flavorful dining menu and highlighting the uniqueness, style, and taste of each beer.  Cheeky Monk offers such well-known beers as Lucifer Golden Ale, Bacchus Sour and Hopsinjor Blond Ale, as well as rare offerings from the Trappiste Monasteries.  This summer, enjoy a tasty brew on the patio while taking in the amazing views of the surrounding mountains, or while listening to live music every Saturday.   

Five Mountain Tavern offers family-friendly dining and entertainment located at the top of the Village Cabriolet and inside the Vintage Hotel.  Open weekends (Friday – Sunday) starting June 20 at 2 p.m.  This summer's menu will feature a variety of classic gourmet burgers.

The Village at Winter Park offers a variety of shops, including: Trestle Bike Park Shop, Mountain Adventure Center, SilverCreek Outfitters, Trail's End Mercantile, Rocky Mountain Eyewear and Shirt Off My Back.

Zephyr Mountain Lodge - Situated just 110 feet from the Zephyr Express Lift; the Zephyr Mountain Lodge offers upscale hospitality at the base of Winter Park Resort. Getting Here – Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Denver International Airport (DIA) - Located 85 miles east of Winter Park Resort via Interstate 70 and Highway 40, Denver International Airport (www.flydenver.com) offers numerous daily flights to and from most major U.S. cities, and connections to destinations around the world.

Ground Transportation:
