Winter Park Resort, Winter Park, Colo., Summer 2009 –Winter Park and the surrounding valley is known as Mountain Bike Capital USA because of its 600 miles of interconnected trail network.  Winter Park Resort's Trestle Bike Park is making it easier then ever to access those trails with the largest downhill bike park fleet in the United States, new walk-in bike clinics for those looking to learn or perfect their skills, and three downhill bike camps with options for women and youth.

Mountain Bike Rentals and Demos
Trestle Bike Park Shop at Winter Park Resort has invested over $150,000 in new bikes for this summer, making it the largest downhill bike park fleet in the United States.  The fleet consists of 75 new Kona downhill bikes, 14 of which are the brand-new women's specific model, the "Minxy." The remaining 61 are the new Kona "Stinky's", which feature 7 inches of travel this year, compared to the 6 inches available on last year's version, 20 new backcountry "Dawgs," and a few full-suspension youth bikes.

Trestle Bike Park Shop offers complete rental packages that fit every rider's unique needs.  From full body armor to an assortment of bikes, even the most novice of riders can get fully outfitted and be ready to take to the course in a matter of minutes.  Daily bike rentals are available complete with full face helmet and body armor, from $69.99/half-day and $99.99/ full-day.  The bikes selected for the rental fleet are a must-have to fully, and more confidently, experience the 30 miles and 150 features in Trestle Bike Park.  Reserve your bike in advance at www.trestlebikepark.com and save 20%.

New!  The Trestle Bike Park Shop offers guests the opportunity to demo some of the highest quality bikes around.  The highest-end bikes by well-known brands like Kona and Scott are now available for daily rental.  Retailing between $3,500 and $6,000 each, the opportunity to try out and compare a variety of bikes on the terrain they are intended for is truly an advantage for someone interested in purchasing a high-end bike.  The demo rental program is also a benefit for those guests that are traveling to Trestle and don't want the hassle and added expense of having to transport their own bike.

Mountain Bike Clinics:
New this year, Trestle Bike Park offers daily mountain bike clinics.  These half-day clinics are perfect for riders seeking technical instruction on a downhill bike.  Open to beginners and seasoned pros alike, our expert staff will help you make the most out of your day in the bike park.  Reservations are preferred and available online at www.trestlebikepark.com or by calling the Guest Contact Center at 970-726-1564.  Lessons are from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. and cost $45/person.
