Winter Park Resort Media Visit Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in Winter Park Resort. While you are visiting we are pleased to provide assistance whenever and wherever we can. The Communications Department would like to recommend the following tips to ensure that you get the most out of your stay.
What we require:
Advance notice. Whether it be a letter of assignment or a simple phone call, the earlier we are notified of your trip, the better we will be able to assist you.
What we offer:
Complimentary Tickets*
Complimentary lift tickets will be issued to the media, photographers, and or filmmakers directly responsible for producing the project or piece, subject to the discretion of the Winter Park Communications Department. Due to the large number of media that visit the Winter Park area, we cannot issue lift tickets to spouses, friends, children or significant others.
*Complimentary or discounted lift tickets are not available during holiday periods. Please arrange all lift tickets prior to your arrival.
Accommodation*
Winter Park Resort can offer complimentary and/or discounted lodging for media on assignment depending on the time of year.
*Complimentary and/or discounted lodging is not available during winter holiday periods. Holiday periods include: Thanksgiving; Christmas Vacation; Martin Luther King Jr.; President's Day Weekend; and Spring Break weeks.
Media Kit, press releases and assistance with requests for information:
Our 2008 Summer Media Kit is a great source for information about Winter Park Resort and the Fraser Valley. To obtain a hard copy of our Summer or Winter Media Kits, or to receive press releases via email, please submit your request using our online form. If you have specific questions please email us at DMorse@skiwinterpark.com or JdeBerge@skiwinterpark.com.
Photos and B-Roll:
Winter Park Resort has an extensive library of photos and video b-roll available for editorial purposes. Photos of ski and snowboard action, lifestyle, village, mountain biking and base area activities can normally be found using our either or online winter stock photo gallery or our online summer stock photo gallery. Please complete the online form in the appropriate gallery to submit any requests. B-roll is available upon special request. To request B-roll please call Darcy Morse at 970-726-1565.
After your stay:
In order to best help us help you with future projects, we ask that upon publication of any stories associated with Winter Park Resort you notify us so to keep our files of coverage updated and memories of meeting you and sharing your visit at the forefront of our minds should we ever want to contact you with great story ideas and possible future visits.
