Local Chefs Cook up a Good Time for a Great Cause

WINTER PARK, COLO…January 22, 2008 -  For twenty-five years, the annual Chef's Cup dinner, dance and silent auction has been the must attend winter event at Winter Park Resort.  Now in its 25th year, this annual event will feature music by Sheryl Renee Band (http://www.sherylrenee.com/) and access to the silent auction, complementary beer, wine and margaritas and sampling of dishes from participating restaurants. Benefiting the Youth Ski and Snowboard Programs at the Winter Park Competition Center, this "Taste of Grand County" will be held January 25 at Winter Park Resort starting at 7 p.m. 

This year, ten restaurants throughout the Winter Park and Fraser Valley will donate their time and talent to prepare amazing culinary delights for guests to enjoy while competing for awards in a number of different categories including best appetizer, best entrée, best presentation and people's choice. Participating restaurants include: Deno's Mountain Bistro; Devil's Thumb Ranch; Fontenots Fresh Seafood and Grill, Winter Park Resort's Doc's Roadhouse, Five Mountain Tavern and Club Car restaurants; Hernando's Pizza, Middle Park High School Pro Start Students, Showboat Catering; and Wild Creek Brewing Company.

Winter Park Resort's Chef's Cup is made possible through the generosity of the local restaurants, auction donors and sponsors including Beringer Wine Estates, Mary Jane Ale, Margaritaville, O2 Creative, McConnell Printing and The Restaurant Source. 

Advance tickets are available at Winter Park Resort or the Winter Park – Fraser Valley Chamber of Commerce for $50 per person or may be purchased at the door for $60 per person.
