Lance Armstrong’s done it. So have the biggest and best mountain bikers in the region. The Winter Park Mountain Bike Race Series is Colorado’s largest mountain bike race series because it’s the best racing Colorado has to offer. Featuring six races throughout the summer, this race series challenges riders with varying courses featuring hill climbs, mountain circuits, point-to-points, and cross country super loops. SUMMER SKI TRAIN
The Ski Train summer excursions offer a postcard-perfect train experience through the dramatic peaks of the Rockies starting Saturday, June 30, through August 18. Mountain bikers, hikers, and sightseers alike enjoy this two hour excursion to Winter Park Resort.
The Ski Train travels through scenery you'll never see any other way. In addition to the scenic wonders of the Flatirons and South Boulder Canyon, you will encounter rugged alpine wilderness and vistas not seen anywhere else but on the Ski Train. 5th ANNUAL GRAND COUNTY BLUES FESTIVAL
“Blues from the Top” continues to set a different tone for music lovers alike. This two day festival takes place in downtown Winter Park and features artists such as Curtis Salgado, The Reba Russell Band, John Alex Mason, Tab Benoit, Eden Brent and The Blues From The Top Gospel Choir. Winter Park Resort is excited to announce the addition of Crankworx Colorado Mountain Bike Festival to its summer events line up. Showcasing Winter Park Resort as Colorado’s ultimate mountain biking playground, Crankworx is one of the world's largest freeriding events and set to go off July 5 – 7. This exciting two day event features cross-country and downhill races, a Super D, Big Air and Slopestyle contest. The 4th Annual Winter Park Folk Festival is a free music concert held at Hideaway Park in downtown Winter Park and features some of the best independent folk musicians from around the country. AMERICAN VETERANS RALLY AND FESTIVAL
Winter Park and the Fraser Valley welcome the American Veterans Traveling Tribute to the area August 17-19. Featuring two days of non-stop fun and festivities, the American Veterans Rally will feature an 80% scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington D.C., parade, poker run, blessing of the bikes, tattoo competition, outdoor beer garden and live music concerts. The Americans Veterans Rally is the oldest in the west.
