Bonnier Mountain Group, publisher of Skiing magazine, SKI magazine, Warren Miller Entertainment and owner of NASTAR, the world’s largest recreational ski and snowboard race program, announced today that Winter Park Resort in Winter Park, Colorado, will be the official host site for the 2010 Nature Valley NASTAR National Championships March 25 – 28, 2010.

Winter Park Resort's Trestle Bike Park continues to push the bike park development envelope since its opening two weeks ago.  The bike park crew's hard work has paid off; starting at 9:30 a.m. this Saturday, June 27, Trestle Bike Park will be almost 100 percent open.

The Winter Park Competition Center launches a new mountain bike race series on select Friday evenings, starting June 26.  The Trestle Bike Park Race Series is designed especially for youth, families, and new riders, but offers plenty of challenge for the experienced, gravity-fed racers.  This new series features a majority of gravity events mixed with a few short-circuit cross country races, making it a great way for new racers and riders of all ages to try racing.

The Seventh Annual Grand County Blues Festival returns to Winter Park’s music venue at Hideaway Park June 27 – 28.  This two-day festival runs from 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. and features an all-star line-up of blues greatest performers including Tab Benoit, Tommy Castro, Jimmy Hall, and Zac Harmon just to name a few.  Savvy concert goers can score a night’s condo rental with two free tickets for only $69 per person when they book their getaway with Winter Park Resort Lodging.

The sun may be shining and the grass is green, but summer at Winter Park Resort doesn’t start until this Saturday, June 13, with the official opening day of Winter Park Resort.  The Zephyr Express chairlift will start up at 9:30 a.m. for bikers to access Trestle Bike Park.  All base area activities will open at 10 a.m.

Starting Monday June 1, athletes will be able to register for this year's Crankworx Colorado events taking place at Winter Park Resort July 30 – August 2.  With well-known athletes like Alex Prochaska, Andreu Lacondeguy, Lluis Lacondeguy, Graham Agassiz, and Paul Basagoitia confirmed to compete, a flurry of early registrants is expected by those eager to seal their spot and earn only one of two chances to attend Kokanee Crankworx Slopestyle in Whistler, British Columbia.  Registration for all events will be available online at www.crankworx.com.
