Winter Park Resort Announces Dates for Second Annual Crankworx Colorado Mountain Bike Festival July 31 – August 3, 2008

WINTER PARK, COLO., December 7, 2007 –
Just as the snowflakes start to pile, Winter Park Resort keeps summer alive and turns the heat up with the announcement of four more days of freeriding frenzy with their second annual Crankworx Colorado Freeride Mountain Bike Festival scheduled for July 31 – August 3, 2008.  With the success of year one under their belt, Crankworx Colorado will move into its second year growing from three days to four, and to make things more interesting, is offering up $30,000 in prize money.

"Our goal is to outdo ourselves year after year," said Bob Holme Winter Park Resort's bike park and youth marketing manager. "The 2007 Crankworx Colorado proved Winter Park Resort's commitment to world class mountain biking.  Our goal with next year's event is to do it again, only bigger and better."

The 2008 Crankworx Colorado festival will include Slopestyle, Big Air, Cross Country, and Super Downhill competitions, with more events to be named early next year.  Originating in Whistler Blackcomb, Crankworx mountain bike festivals feature the best freeriding mountain bikers from around the world.  Crankworx Colorado serves as competitors' first stop before making their way back to Whistler Blackcomb's Crankworx for the final showdown of talent taking place August 9 – 17, 2008.
