GADBERRY ACCEPTS NEW POSITION AS DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES AT WINTER PARK RESORT

WINTER PARK, COLO., October 18, 2007 -  Winter Park Resort is pleased to announce that Karen Gadberry has accepted the position of director of human resources.  Gadberry brings with her more than 20 years of resort knowledge and is excited to integrate her passion for employee training and development into her new role. 

As director, she will oversee the recruiting office that hires both seasonal and full-time employees, employee housing, and focus on enhancing the overall employee experience. 

Gadberry has been a member of the Winter Park Resort family for over 20 years.  From 1994 to 2005, she served as the director of guest services.  In 2005, Gadberry was one of 26 employees selected across Intrawest, the managing company of Winter Park Resort, to enter a new Lean Six Sigma business improvement program launched by the operational excellence division.  Early this year, she received official certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Kaizen facilitator.  Most recently, Gadberry served as the acquisition integration leader at Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation and spent the past eight months assisting with their transition into the Intrawest family.

Gadberry will start in her new position on Monday, October 29, 2007.
