Experience the real "Hotel for Dogs" at Winter Park Resort

Winter Park, CO…July 13, 2009 - Enjoy the dog days of summer with your entire family, including Fido, at Winter Park Resort.  All pet-friendly rooms at the Vintage Hotel and Winter Park Mountain Lodge are 20 percent off, all summer long.  With room rates starting at $63/night, ditch doggie day care and enjoy an affordable mountain getaway with your best friend.  Plus on July 17, there will be dog-friendly events and an outdoor movie that both you and your canine will enjoy.

With over 50 pet-friendly rooms available through Winter Park Resort Lodging, the Vintage Hotel and Winter Park Mountain Lodge are able to accommodate you and your pet just about anytime.  Room rates at the Vintage Hotel start at $63/per room, per night with no black out dates.  Rate is based on a hotel room, however additional room types, including studios, are available.  Rates may vary based on arrival date and unit type.  A $25 fee per pet is due upon check-in at either location.

There are no size restrictions on dogs, even Great Dane's are welcome.  Upon check-in, guests receive a "doggie bag" containing a door hanger alerting housekeeping of a pet, a sheet for furniture-lounging dogs, plus several dog treats.  Call 866-239-3994 or visit www.winterparkresort.com for additional details. 

Fun with Fido:
Just down the road from both hotels is The Village at Winter Park.  Accessible by the free and pet-friendly Village Cabriolet lift, the village offers plenty of entertaining activities including mini-golf, walking paths, a pond, and dining patios for soaking up the sun. Easily access hiking and biking trails where both owner and dog can get a real workout.  Well-behaved dogs will find plenty of streams, ponds, and mountain lakes to cool down in.  Then for a real treat, follow your outing up with a K9 massage, available from several local massage therapists.  

On July 17, the Village at Winter Park is going dog wild.  Show off your dog's best trick and win prizes starting at dusk, then grab a lawn chair and enjoy a free outdoor movie alongside your pooch.  Hotel for Dogs is a family favorite movie, starring Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Kyle Pratt with Lisa Kudrow, Kevin Dillon and Don Cheadle.
