WINTER PARK, COLO., May 28, 2008 - Winter Park Resort is proud to announce that 15 year employee and shop foreman, Paul Hagerman, has been selected by the National Ski Areas Association as Technician of the Year and was presented with the Tim Crouse Memorial Award. Competing against ski areas from around the nation, Hagerman's victory is a direct result of his strong mechanical ability, knowledge, and insight.
National Ski Areas Association honored Hagerman at the Annual Ski Area Vehicle Maintenance Institute conference held in Grand Junction May 12 – 15.
"We couldn't be more pleased for the National Ski Areas Association to recognize Paul's hard work and dedication," said Ron Richards, Winter Park Resort's slope maintenance supervisor. "He is a selfless employee who stays until the job is done and done right, even if that means staying way past the end of his shift."
In addition, the Ski Area Vehicle Maintenance Institute or SAVMI, presented the Winter Park Resort Vehicle Maintenance Shop with the SAVMI Safety Award for having 2100+ days without an injury.
