Where is Winter Park Resort located?
Winter Park Resort it is one of the closest resorts to Denver, located approximately 70 miles west of the city. Winter Park Resort, located in Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forest, sits on the eastern edge of Grand County at 9,000 feet elevation. Grand County is nestled in the Rocky Mountains, with a spectacular view of the Continental Divide.
How do I get there?
To get to Winter Park Resort from all points around the Denver area, find your way to I-70 heading West out of Denver.
▪ Follow I-70 West approximately 40 miles to Exit 232 to Winter Park, Empire and Granby
▪ Follow Exit 232 onto Hwy 40 which will take you over Berthoud Pass (great photo ops) and to Winter Park
Mileage from Exit 232 to Winter Park is approximately 24 miles. Total mileage from Denver is 67 miles. Winter Park Resort is located on Winter Park Drive, Winter Park, Colorado 80482.

Now that I'm here, how will I get to work and around town?
Winter Park and its nearby towns which include Fraser, Tabernash, and Granby, are all apart of the free employee shuttle service that runs daily to and from the base of Winter Park Resort making it very easy to get to and from work. In addition, all of the employee housing properties are serviced by the employee shuttle.
Also, if you reside in the towns of Winter Park or Fraser you will be able to access the free shuttle called "The Lift" which will stop at the grocery store, restaurants, retail stores, etc around town.
Is employee housing available?
Yes. However, you must be offered a position first before you are eligible to be considered for housing. Employee housing is not guaranteed but rather on a first-come first-serve basis related to when we receive your required security deposit. Rent varies from $265-$425 per month.

What are the weather conditions like?
Even though Winter Park is known for its 250 sunny days per year, the temperature can be very cold due to the high elevation. Mid November through April is our winter with the average high temperature is 54°F (12°C) with the average low at 14°F (-10°C).
What should I bring then?
Make sure to bring COLD weather clothing! Temperature in this altitude can be VERY cold. Bring waterproof snow boots with a good grip, sun glasses, ski goggles, warm and waterproof gloves, hat that covers your ears, thick socks, waterproof snow pants, etc. Oh, and don't forget the sunscreen!
What exactly are the appearance guidelines?
Some positions provide indoor/outdoor uniforms; please discuss the expectations directly with your hiring manager.
Other guidelines include: no extreme jewelry, haircuts/color, visible tattoos, dreadlocks, or piercing are permitted. Personal and oral hygiene are essential. Facial hair must be in accordance with approved guidelines.

What will my work schedule be like?
Please be aware and forewarned the ski industry is a weather dependant variable business.
Hours are dependant on business and weather conditions, but are typically 8:00am-4:30pm. We experience peak times during the season when business is booming. During this time employees may be asked to work over 40 hours per week.
Does Winter Park Resort have Direct Deposit?
Yes! We do offer direct deposit for employees. However it may take up to 2 pay cycles in order for the request to be met. Also, depending on when you enter the pay cycle, please be aware that it may be up to 2-3 weeks before you receive your first paycheck, so be financially prepared.
