Meet The Coaches

The Competition Center Masters program is unique in that we use several highly qualified coaches to give you lots of different looks into your skiing.  You will benefit from each coach's bag of tricks to help you ski better and faster.

Rick Foster

Rick FosterRick has nearly thirty years of very diverse experience in the ski industry.  He got his coaching start at Winter Park back in 1980, and from there he held positions of club director at Eldora, U.S. Ski Team associate coach and sports medicine program coordinator, and athletic trainer.  For over fifteen years he has been a competition representative for Marker USA, and he brings a wealth of equipment experience to the Masters group.  Rick loves being back to his coaching roots at Winter Park and has given the Winter Park Masters a big boost.  Rick coaches Masters primarily on Fridays.

Lynn Burrows

Once the head age class coach at Winter Park and currently a PE teacher at Fraser Valley Elementary School, Lynn enjoys the opportunity to teach an adult class for a change. Lynn has been coaching Competition Center racers of all ages for over twenty years, but she's really enjoyed coaching the masters recently. Lynn has a keen eye for proper racing technique and has a big bag of tricks to help her skiers break their bad habits. She also sets a fantastic visual example with her skiing, calling on her racing experience as a member the University of Colorado ski team.  Lynn may drop in on any day this year.

Lewis Koski

Lewis spends his weeks all over the globe doing investigative work, but naturally what he enjoys most is looking into your skiing skills. Lewis has spent thirteen years teaching ski racing at Winter Park. He has a great technical background and sets his skiers up with the right moves to handle speed.  Lewis coaches the Masters primarily on weekends and on Wednesday nights at Echo Mountain.

Darlene Nolting

Darlene joins the staff with a long list of coaching accomplishments.  She is a USSA Level 400 international level coach and is a teacher for other coaches in the USSA Coaches Education System.  She works closely with US Ski Team staff in her job with USSA as the Rocky Mountain Division Competition Manager.  She also achieved PSIA Level 3 certification, and has taught and coached skiing for twenty years.  Darlene will coach most Thursday training sessions.

Rich Hadley

Rich is coaching Masters at Echo Mountain on Wednesday nights.  Rich is an exuberant coach with lots of knowledge about speed.  His racing career had him at the top of the heap in Rocky and a stint with the US team. Not many can match Rich's passion on the hill.
