The Competition Center Masters program is unique in that we use several highly qualified coaches to give you lots of different looks into your skiing. You will benefit from each coach's bag of tricks to help you ski better and faster.
Rick has nearly thirty years of very diverse experience in the ski industry. He got his coaching start at Winter Park back in 1980, and from there he held positions of club director at Eldora, U.S. Ski Team associate coach and sports medicine program coordinator, and athletic trainer. For over fifteen years he has been a competition representative for Marker USA, and he brings a wealth of equipment experience to the Masters group. Rick loves being back to his coaching roots at Winter Park and has given the Winter Park Masters a big boost. Rick coaches Masters primarily on weekdays.
Lewis spends his weeks all over the globe doing investigative work, but naturally what he enjoys most is looking into your skiing skills. Lewis has spent thirteen years teaching ski racing at Winter Park. He has a great technical background and sets his skiers up with the right moves to handle speed. Lewis coaches the Masters primarily on weekends.
Krista will join our Masters coaching staff on a more regular basis this year on weekdays. Krista has been coaching with the Competition Center for eight years and also works with our ski school, where she is one of the most sought after instructors for private lessons, particularly with a race focus. Her combined PSIA background and USSA coaching certification gives her great credentials for working with the masters, but what really sets Krista apart is the fun that she has with the participants and her upbeat attitude.
