With more than 100km of groomed trails nestled in the pristine and private Ranch Creek valley at the base of the Continental Divide, we're the premiere Nordic center for Colorado cross country skiing, whether for skate or classic Nordic. Dog Sled Rides of Winter Park

Open for cart rides at 8am. Cart rides are $125 per cart (1 or 2 people). Open for kennel tours at 10am, $15 per adult and $8 per child (group rates available).

Grand County Historical Association

Ground Transportation Service Colorado Tour Transportation specializes in personal service -- from picking you up from the airport to providing the opportunity to pick up things along the way that you might need for your vacation. We will wait at the Denver International Airport for their passengers. As soon as the guests have their bags, they get picked up at the Limo/Taxi stand close to the baggage carousels. Stops on the two hour drive to Winter Park over the 11,300' Berthoud Pass are possible. The ride is comfortable in a 4x4 SUV or a van with studded snow tires. All vehicles have a TV, snacks and beverages. The service is very flexible and accommodating to its passengers. Fares vary according to the number of passengers (1-14), destination, time of day, and pick up times.

TUBING HILLS

Colorado Adventure Park

Offering gentle beginner slopes and long steep hills for all types of thrill seekers age 3 years and older. The entire family will enjoy the brand new magic carpet conveyor lift ride to the top. Those younger than three can sled on the man-made mini-hill. Open everday from 10am to 10pm. The Colorado Adventure Park is located at the base of the hill in the large meadow behind the Alco Shopping Center in Fraser on County Road 721.

FRASER RIVER TRAIL

Fun for the Entire Family
The Fraser River Trail is a five-mile multi-use trail connecting Winter Park Resort and the towns of Winter Park and Fraser.

Total Trail Length: 5 miles (one way)
Elevation Gain: 550 feet
Rating: Easy
Appropriate Uses: Hiking, Biking, Longboarding and In-line Skating

Point of Interest:
This wide, flat trail is perfect for children, novice bikers and rollerbladers and those still getting acclimated to the elevation. Picnic tables are located along the trail from the Town of Winter Park to Winter Park Resort.

To go to Fraser:
From the Winter Park Visitor Center, cross U.S. Highway 40 and follow the sidewalk north until you reach the paved pathway. Just outside the town of Winter Park, you can remain on the paved pathway or you can cross U.S. Highway 40 at Cozens Ranch Museum to access the unpaved portion of the Fraser River Trail. This scenic gravel trail parallels the Fraser River. The willows adjacent to the trail are a favorite hangout for moose.

To go to Winter Park Resort:
From the Winter Park Visitor Center take the sidewalk south to the paved pathway. The trail follows the Fraser River through Idlewild Campground. Just past the campground, the trail goes under U.S. Highway 40. Remain on the pathway until you reach Trademark Condominiums. From here, follow the signs to Winter Park Resort.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Winter Park Resort is the West Portal to the Rocky Mountain National Park. Take advantage of this national treasure and all it has to offer, so close to your vacation destination.

Winter Park Resort is located in Grand County, the gateway to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park. When planning your vacation here, be sure to include Rocky Mountain National Park as one of your stops along the way to or from Winter Park Resort.

Operating Hours & Seasons Rocky National Park is open 24 hours a day year round. Visitors can enter or exit at any time. If they are planning to stay overnight, park visitors must be in a designated campground site or a backcountry campsite reserved by a valid permit. From time to time, the Superintendent implements area closures to protect resources. When necessary, Park Rangers will issue court citations to persons violating the terms of a closure.
